Overview

EVB Engineering was retained to provide detailed design and construction administration services for the East Ridge Subdivision Phase 7 and 8 which is located on Part of the E1/2 and W1/2 Lot C, Concession 1, in the City of Cornwall (Geographic County of Stormont). The East Ridge development is located south of Second St., west of Boundary Road and immediately east of the existing Sunrise Acres subdivision. Phase 7 consisted of 28 residential single lots and 22 residential semi-detached lots while phase 8 consisted of 27 residential single lots and 18 residential semi-detached lots.

Construction Administration Services

The following design and contract administration tasks were included as part of the services provided:

  • Design drawings detailing new sanitary sewer, storm sewer, watermain, road profiles, lot grading, and erosion and sediment control measures in support of the execution of a Subdivider’s Agreement.
  • Colour coded cut to fill analysis drawings completed to ensure a balance of cut to fill for the development.  
  • Detailed design servicing report encompassing sewer and watermain sizing calculations and a stormwater management brief provided to satisfy draft plan conditions and in support of the execution of a Subdivider’s Agreement.
  • Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) application submitted to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP).
  • Site inspection services and contract administration services including completion of daily inspection diary’s, preparation of service locations sheets, certification of letter of credit reductions, and confirmation that the work is in general conformance with the construction drawings and municipality standards.
